After so long out and such a serious injury, the guy looks great! More importantly hopefully offers options in the halves too when French returns!

Can't slate him for his conversion rate......not alone is he :D
Early doors but I can’t see him as a 6.
Why?
Just don’t think he has the ability, same reasons as why I don’t think French is good there.

Looked great in pre season and tonight at fullback and likely plenty more room
for improvement. just don’t see him as a 6.

Happy to be proven wrong though!

That’ll do for mine. Movement, runners, offloads, threats all over the pitch. Superb.
Matty Peet, take a bow.

Leave field at fullback…… watch the game hes destroying kr……. French is also a decent winger…… one thing for certain is zak wont be fullback this year bar injuries

I agree with what you’re saying re Field… I am saying he wouldn’t do well at 6.

According to Peet's interview Zaz is a deputy to Thornley from the bench!!?

Dissapointed again with the reffing for there last try……. The ball is clearly thrown between his legs at the ptb……. Our lads have moved mountains to win this coz we have been butchered off this ref tonite……. If we had lost he would have been slated

Zak as substitute gave us the option to use him as full back/centre. In the end it turned out well for us I think would have had half a game just to get him back to fitness but had to come on to cover for Thornley.

Great to win the first game under the new coaching regime. I think that is important to build the confidence up and not put Peet under immediate pressure.

Interesting tactics from HKR with the short drop out. Not sure how long that will last before it’s sussed out.

As to Field he must be very pleased. Nightmare with the injury last season and best player on the pitch tonight. Apparently according to some he was under some sort of voodoo influence from Jackson Hastings and didn’t have the right attitude.
