Wigan to face Salford in Challenge Cup

Wigan tied with Salford Red Devils in the Sixth Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup.

Game to be played the weekend of 25-27 March.

Date, kick-off time and venue to be confirmed in due course.

Wigan Warriors will play Salford Red Devils in the Sixth Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup between 25th – 27th March.

Details of the date, kick-off time and venue will be confirmed in due course.

The Sixth Round Draw was held at Elland Road in Leeds on Monday evening – BBC’s Tanya Arnold for the draw will be Great Britain legend Lee Crooks and the Royal Navy’s Ben Taylor – known to many Rugby League fans as ‘Yorkshire Prose’ for his distinctive style of poetry on social media.

Sixth Round fixtures will be played on the weekend of March 25-27, followed by Quarter Finals on 9 and 10 April, and the Semi Finals at Elland Road itself on Saturday 7 May – part of a Rugby League triple-header alongside the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Final. Tickets are available online now from only £25 Adults and £12.50 Concessions/Under 16s.

The Betfred Challenge Cup Final will be held on Saturday 28 May at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I take it from this that we won’t be allowed to play at home by the Pathetics,
I am old enough to remember a time when we used to be able to play home cup ties at home.
It is sickening that we are third class citizens at the DW.

It'll be nice if we get to the semis and I can walk to the match for the first time in 57 years! (Especially with the price of petrol.)

Like Batley at Bolton?
We've had one challenge cup game moved (to Leigh) in twenty two years.

The game will be played at Wigan
