As long as you don,t call or criticise the players you can say anything you want because everything in the camp is rosy.nathan_rugby wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 12:08 pmIsn’t this part of the forum? To openly discuss things?josie andrews wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 11:07 am Has Peet named Shorrocks at hooker??
Who has suddenly decided that it is Shorrocks who will play there?
FFS wait until he actually names the team on game day day before you all start calling players & arguing with one another!
I don’t see arguing, I see people with different and valid opinions.
Mine is to not disrupt the team, others is to switch things around. Nobody is right or wrong.

Re: Powell
I "love" Josie to bits because she feeds the fans far more information that the club often does or cares to
I'm sure her outburst is her simply being over-protective of her "babies". Nothing more nothing less and I'm more than fine to acknowledge that - even if she bites my head off when we disagree

Josie is tireless in her support - she can criticise us all day if she likes.

Agree, and I think his physical size/strengths means he can run the ball in as an extra prop as well as better "scooting" abilities. Off-topic but both Pinder and Forber are excellent hooker prospects for 2/3 years time.Charriots Offiah wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 2:47 pmBrad is good defensively from what I have seen of him.Mike wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 2:43 pmThere was a time when McIlorum was a second row who'd never played hooker too. I think our last two sets of coaching staff are so concerned about the defensive hole that Powell leaves that they primarily thought about filling that requirement and not as much about the distribution side of things. We were looking for a defensive hooker to match our pack's light and mobile style of play. Perhaps that's why O'Neil never gets a look in?Wigan_forever1985 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 11:33 am
But shorrocks to my knowledge had never played hooker before he was put in that role last season - so yes it’s different in the fact that he now has like 4 games being played there but it’s not in the sense shorrocks is a back rower with no previous in that position and no future in that position

Folk condemned Lam for playing players out of position yet say there has been an improvement since a regime change.
So why assume that this supposedly improved resume would make the same changes and thus the same mistakes?

There *has* been an improvement over last season. A big one. Do you dispute that? Last season we often looked like we wouldn't score a try if we were there all week. now we are scoring tries for fun, and the team looks more settled.Wandering Warrior wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 8:48 pm Folk condemned Lam for playing players out of position yet say there has been an improvement since a regime change.

I'd give O'Neil the chance he deserves its his specialist position, Shorrocks will no doubt nine times out of ten be on the bench to spell him if things get tough .
