Re: New cricket ground
I'm only saying that your 17,000 is a deliberate distorition of the figures.
But 1978 is an interesting one. Didn't Latics average 9,000 in their first season in Division 4? I'm sure that compared fairly well with some of our figures (though they're hard to come by). Of course, we were relgated soon afterwards. What would help with a like-for-like comparison would be a site that can tell me how many we got in the Second Division, 1980-81.

Re: New cricket ground
Nah, it would be nice to be away from those TICS.
I'd sooner join forces with Orrell; even if it is at the new bat & ball stadium.
Fraggle, I think you need to think out your maths before you claim that we are the big money earner at the JJB. Do you realise how much the TICS get from SKY SPORTS for being televised at home; and just how many times they have been on TV this season ? Obviously not !!!

I did the same and mine was removed. He is obviously a Latics fan just having a bit of fun with us, saying that we should play on a small cricket pitch!superleague posted:i give my opinion of him the other day but i was a little bit more abusive and got my message removed he is very annoying though isnt he.Martin Taylor posted:
