Coach quotes

On this week’s opponent Toulouse, Peet said: “They’ve got a hell of a lot to play for and one of the things about Wakefield was they were desperate, so we’ve got to expect that same kind of commitment from Toulouse. They’ve got some talented players and if they have their share of the ball and field position with the kicking game that they’ve got and the skill on the edges – they’re going to trouble any team.

“I think they’ve got strong ball carriers, Matty Russell is an outstanding ball carrier. They’ve got great kickers of the ball as well, every time they get into a position to kick they’re a real threat and their yardage kicks are outstanding as well. They’ve got good players so we understand that if we start slow, then we’re in for a battle.” Read more from the Warriors boss ahead of Friday’s game HERE.

How many times have Wigan worn their 3rd choice pink shirt. Must be more than the number of times they have worn their second strip in blue. Remember that when they are trying to sell their second strip next season.

Toulouse deserve to go down frankly shame as their coach likes the game to be played well but they've simply not been good enough.

Wigan did all that was asked of them and didn't really need to break to much sweat in beating them,I'd have preferred a sterner test though with Saints coming up

Powell's had a shocker tonight, so nothing new there then?🤔
Oops, soz, that was a month ago before he got hurt and all the games before in his playing career.
Personally I think he's been missed and Wigan will never have a running hooker as long as Radders has an orifice in his botty.

It did strike me (and, mind you, I've just watched Harry Grant for Melbourne), that O'Neil's distribution may be OK, but he's hardly the dynamic running dummy-half that people complained Powell wasn't. And that if it was in any doubt, Cust is a half, not a dummy-half. Which is not to say he can't play a useful role at 9 at times, of course.
