1 - most people (in any sport) need to get stretchered off when they do their ACL

2 - normally takes a while for swelling to go down before they do the scans
He hung around a little bit after the game and his movement seemed a little less laboured than it seemed on TV

That said I don't expect to see him back for the rest of the season at the very least

Sky confirmed a low grade ACL, sounds as though the club are optimistic if he plays again this season

Terribly sad news

As with Marshall in past years, it's a blow for him personally as well. Especially as he's a lot older than LM!

Faz is seeing another specialist to see if he needs an operation or if rest and physiotherapy will cure the problem. His chances of playing in the playoffs are near zero but there is still a chance that he may be able to represent England.

Thornley said in SS bar before match that they/he hopes he may be fit for final.

As selfish as this may sound, if he isn't fit for us to play in the playoffs or final if we make it, I don't want him to play for England. I'd rather he spends the winter resting and getting himself sorted for next season

Would we risk it? A) If he breaks down then he could be out for a long time and B) it costs us a man in the final

Massive blow for us. Faz has been class this season.
With Cust maybe being out as well, big task ahead for Wigan
