The 31-year-old former Super League star, who also had spells with Huddersfield, St Helens, Wakefield and Salford has tragically passed away
Former Hull KR prop Adam Walker has tragically died at the age of just 31. The former Super League star made over 100 appearances for the Robins, between 2013 and 2016, and also represented Scotland where he won 14 caps for his country, featuring at the 2013 World Cup.
A number of tributes have poured in for the former player who also had spells in Super League with Huddersfield, St Helens, Wakefield and Salford. He was a firm favourite with Rovers fans during his time at the club before leaving after they were relegated from Super League in 2016.
Hull KR are saddened to learn of Adam Walker's passing, " Hull KR said in a statement on Twitter. "The club's thoughts are with his family and friends."
The Scottish governing body for the sport also paid their own tributes to the former international. "Everyone involved with Scotland Rugby League is saddened to learn of the passing of Adam," Scotland Rugby League operations director Ollie Cruickshank said.
"Adam played with pride every time he stepped on the pitch for Scotland and was a member of our 2013 World Cup squad and a part of our 2014 European Championship winning squad. Our thoughts are with Adam's family and friends at this time."
Walker's former Salford team mate Jackson Hastings also took to social media to pay tribute to the late player. "Rest in love fozzy! Absolute horrible news," Hastings said. "One of the best off loaders I've been lucky enough to play alongside.
"Champion team-mate and someone who was miss understood [sic]. Best wishes to family and close friends during this tough time."
Walker had joined Hull KR from Huddersfield Giants in 2013 after beginning his professional career with the West Yorkshire club. Walker then joined St Helens ahead of the 2017 season but relocated back to Yorkshire before the end of that campaign, after signing a long-term deal with Wakefield Trinity.
Walker, whose twin brother Jonathan also player professionally, was banned from playing for 20 months in 2017 after testing positive for cocaine after a game for Trinity at Widnes. He then returned to the top level in impressive fashion in 2019.
He joined Salford Red Devils and immediately found success, playing in the 2019 Super League Grand Final defeat to St Helens that season. He left in February the following year and joined Leigh Centurions, his last professional club he represented.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
