How should we line up next season?

Post by Blackpool_Pie »

Not taking injuries, suspensions and form into consideration, how would you line us up next season?

Which young players will be trying to force their way into contention?

I think the backline picks itself next season, I know a few would like to see Cust at 9, but he came over here to play as a back, so I don't think Peet will play him where he doesn't want to pay and then drop the golden boy.

I also think if Bateman goes then KPP has to play second row, again that's his preferred position so why change it. Then it's just Faz and Smithies.

As for props I would start with Singo & Cooper, bringing Byrne and Havard on to change, along with Ellis and Mago on the bench.

Then again, the question is how Should we line up, so then its O'Neil at 9 and Powell on the fork at half time repairing the pitch.

With who we have at this moment, my matchday squad is -
1 Field, 2 French, 3 KPP, 4 Wardle, 5 Marshall, 6 Cust, 7 Smith, 8 Havard, 9 O'Neill, 10 Cooper,
11 Bateman, 12 Farrell, 13 Smithies, 14 Thornley, 15 Byrne, 16 Singleton, 17 Shorrocks.

18 King, 19 Powell, 20 Mago, 21 Ellis.

Think for me the team would be Field, French, King, Wardle, Marshall, Cust, Smith for the backs and forwards Singo, ONeill, Byrne, KPP (assuming Batty may be off to NRL) Farrell, Smithies.

Interchange Havard, Cooper, Mago, Ellis with maybe KPP in the mix if Batty stays and Powell there or there about.

Yes that,s more than 4 subs but we won’t always have 4 props on the bench so there’s some flexibility :D

Why are we putting King with French? Why not Wardle?
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
