And here is why RL will never get anywhere when it comes to international rugby. I hate to keep going on about RU but they absolutely have their international game marketed so well in comparison

Just had a quick look for tickets and you can still buy them for around half the ground at the HJ
The state of international RL is just dire

Hardly surprising. Anyone carrying even a slight knock, would be daft to risk further injury in a game like this.
It's a great honour and personal achievement to be picked to play for your country but middle of the season?
Wonder who dreamt this up?

I bought ours when it was announced last year we would play France.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Well in union (please forgive me) they have the six nations in the middle of the season, teams just allow their players to go and play and the domestic season carries on without internationals. They play domestic games at the same time as internationals and still manage to sell out 80,000+ a game and also have club games sticking around average attendance. RL really needs a kick up the arse

That's all true, BP, and so frustrating when our product is so much more exciting, and should be telegenic. We complain , rightly, about the Aussies' indifferent attitude to international rugby, but the response from SL clubs isn't much better.

Have to concur with moto and BP The synonym telegenic so much better than Soccer's "beautiful game " isn't it? AND it is
