Hull KR back Ethan Ryan suffered a broken jaw in their golden point defeat to Wigan, who have made a kind gesture after learning of the news.
The Ireland international underwent surgery after sustaining the injury in Thursday night’s golden point extra-time defeat to Wigan at Craven Park.
And when we got home after his operation, Ryan opened a surprise care package box sent to him by the Warriors, which included some food and treats.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

We are a very classy club. As usual, we set the standard.

Really nice. I am proud to be a Wigan fan.
I have supported Wigan RL since the late 80s. First game was a cup tie v Barrow. Also a fan of football and Speedway. Have a varied taste in music.

The way we go about things nowadays is just superb. I get the feeling Rads leads a lot of that, along with with guys like Matty Peet and it’s something to be really proud of. Opposition fans love to knock Wigan at every turn but I don’t see this sort of thing from many clubs elsewhere. They might do it in isolation but Wigan are pretty constant with their acknowledgments of milestones and gestures like this.
