Injury update
Matt Peet has given an update on injuries ahead of the Warriors game with St Helens, in partnership with Shock Doctor.
Peet: “In the coming weeks we’ll be starting to get back some of our forwards and that will stand us in good stead, we’re going to need them.”
Wigan remain without Willie Isa, Kai Pearce-Paul, Ethan Havard and Mike Cooper.
Matt Peet gave an update on injuries from Robin Park Arena ahead of Wigan’s Round 15 clash with St Helens on Friday.
Firstly, Peet gave an update on forward Mike Cooper who has undergone an operation on his knee injury: “Coops [Mike Cooper] has been in today off the back of his operation and all of the lads have been pleased to see him.
“He seems in good spirits and ever since he got his injury really, he had a few days of being a bit down but he’s a very positive character and he’s working very hard. He’s still involved in a lot of our team meetings and we’re going to support him throughout his rehabilitation so that he comes back firing.”
Prop Forward Brad Singleton has been named in Peet’s 21-man squad this week as he comes back into contention following a calf injury: “He [Brad Singleton] has worked hard, as have our physios. He is in contention this week but in the coming weeks we’ll be starting to get back some of our forwards and that will stand us in good stead, we’re going to need them.
“Junior and Harvie have done really well when they have come in so very soon our squad will definitely look a lot thicker.”

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Injury update
At least hes honest about the jab or we would just presume another injury setback if hes out afterwardsThe Pearl1 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 3:44 pmPeet has indicated Havard will play, they are jabbing him up!The Pearl1 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2023 8:11 am Let’s jab Havard up for the the cup game next week then give him another month off
