21-man squad announced for Friday’s Betfred Super League Round 17 game against Huddersfield Giants, in association with Greenmount Projects.

Matt Peet names an unchanged squad ahead of this fixture.

Wigan Warriors v Huddersfield Giants, Friday 30 June, 8pm K.O.

Matt Peet has named his 21-man squad for Friday’s Betfred Super League game with Huddersfield Giants at the DW Stadium (8pm K.O.).

Peet has named an unchanged 21-player squad from last week’s trip to Salford Red Devils. Kaide Ellis serves the second of a three-game suspension picked up against Warrington Wolves in the Challenge Cup Quarter Final.

Tickets for our Super League clash against Huddersfield Giants on Friday 30 June are available to buy right up until kick-off. Supporters can purchase tickets online HERE or from the DW Stadium ticket office which is open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Blue Light Card holders, on production of their valid card, can also buy tickets at a discounted rate – until kick off – when visiting the ticket office in person. Please note that discounted tickets for Blue Light Card holders are for the North Stand, and are non-transferable.

21-MAN SQUAD NAMED FOR WARRIORS CLASH

Ian Watson has named his 21-Man Squad ahead of the Giants' trip to the DW Stadium to face Wigan Warriors on Friday. (8:00pm)

Both Fenton Rogers and Sam Hewitt are recalled from their respective loan deals, with the former in line for his First Team competitive debut in the Claret and Gold, after impressing in the Betfred Championship with Bradford Bulls.

Theo Fages and Joe Greenwood drop out with respective injuries.

Huge game to set down a marker. Will certainly go above wire into second considering the players they have out vs Leeds away. Still haven’t got the trust in this time at home like I did last year

Enjoyable game tonight. Feel for Huddersfield though, they are setting themselves up in good positions and just can't finish.

Thought Singleton went well. The wet weather suited the way he plays.

Ide have taken any win tonight tbf.Happy with the outcome but still dont think french will ever be a stand off.Good position to be in though as injuries clearing up and are still versatile.Hopefully no bans as wakey could be a a tough one

Horrible conditions. A real arm wrestle of a game. Highlight was holding their no 12 up over the try line and managing to get him over the dead ball line.

Referee Smith wasn’t popular with the sin bin given Harry Smith was taken out after the kick and no one walked for that.

And the the bloody M6 was shut on the way back. I took a friend who’s is visiting from London so he had a tour of Wigan in the rain and on the way back Warrington. Summer rugby and roadworks!

Not one to live in the memory for to long,good effort all round and a well earned 2pts,stand off position is becoming a bit of a headache though.
