Happy birthday Billy Boston

Post by craigo »

The greatest ever Rugby League player. His birthday today.
I have supported Wigan RL since the late 80s. First game was a cup tie v Barrow. Also a fan of football and Speedway. Have a varied taste in music.

Happy 89th Birthday Billy, wishing you many more 🎉🥳🎁
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Privileged to have seen him play.

Me and big brother once got picked out of the hen pen to carry the numbers board round at half time. Our reward was a "ringside seat" for the second half and Billy, not playing that day, came and sat near us.

I was (and still am) star struck, as well as realising how big he was - I was about 12 or 13 at the time.

God bless him!
