It's an opinion and I get so sick of people like you responding with "reading crap like this" just because you disagree with something written on a forum. Day in, day out, year in, year out.

No one compels you to read it or comment. In fact if my opinions annoy you do much, why don't you bugger off to RLFANS? I am sure you will be happy there.

Like you, Dave, I'll be judged by the content of my posts.
Well you obviously judged your own post to embarrassing to re-quote.

You won’t find a post of mine where I have quoted one line from a post in order to make a personal attack on a poster. You were out of order.

It's my general practice, Dave, I thought you'd been around long enough to notice it by now. I know Josie has noticed it in the past. I post on a lap-top, so I accept it's easier for me than someone posting on their mobe to conveniently edit the post. I don't really like having to scroll through what is usually irrelevant stuff to get to a one-line post at the end, but like I say, I understand how it happens. Anyone that bothered (unlikely, because tedious arguments aren't what people come here to read) can check back on the thread.

And if you want me to make it crystal-clear, so there's no subterfuge, yes, I reiterate, I think your posts are tediously and constantly negative, and offer nothing to the rest of the forum.

That good enough?

I disagree. I think conflicting viewpoints negative or otherwise instigate discussion and debate (something that's sadly missing in society today).

What a boring forum it would be if we all saw things through the same lens.

I've only read Wes's first post on this topic.

What immediately jumped out (in relation to tradition in SL era), I really thought Julian O'Neill and Adrian Lam smashed it as a distinctive 6 and 7! There's no doubt the game has developed and changed since 2002 (and obs it was mainly a sole season).

It might seem a wild card, I really thought, even at the wrong side of 30, Jarrod Sammut had lots of potential at 6 (for a questionable recent signing), similar style to Lee Briers (being off the cuff).

Bevan French, I've voted for him tonight simply because he isn't a standoff (depending on how you perceive a modern 6). Just because he has pace to burn, doesn't cut it. He is sensational on the wing or at fullback.

That said, he has as the weeks have gone by developed and shown glimpses of a 6 and tried 100%. He doesn't look out of place because he plays with flair and has an explosive style, but if we could sign a specialist (such as Bodie Croft), would French be there? It feels like we a playing someone at 6 because we can.

Abbas Miski has developed really well and full credit to him, he has a solid frame and score tries, bit his pound for pound individual capability to score 4 tries against Hull KR and I'm sure he planted a few last season against someone too, doesn't put him in a French/Marshall category, overall.

I suppose in short, French outside Wardle and a significant proven 6 (not like Cust at 7 and made of biscuits), would make 2024 with our new recruits :).

Bevan French has the most try assists in the league at the moment.
