Add to that his questionable attitude, and being on a low having failed in the NRL, this could be a massive problem for us over the next 4 years. What he has shown is that he will happily sit on the bench and take his wages even if he is crocked. This seems like a wing and a prayer signing, to make a statement rather than a well thought out move. We aren't in the 80s now when we could sign anyone we wanted, this is going to blow a hole in our salary cap for 4 years and may derail all of the good work that has been done recently.
Kris Radlinski told members at the Riversiders meeting last night, that although the rumors were going around for a while, the deal was only finalized last evening at 6pm, just before my conversation with him.

He also mentioned that when he went to Australia to interview Luke, that he was surprised by what he had to say & the questions he asked. He said usually the first thing a player asks about is the money, but Luke started asking about the facilities at Robin Park, the staff etc long before they discussed money.

He had his final medical yesterday also before he began making his way back to England.

Let’s just hope that his injuries are behind him & he gets a good & full pre season under his belt 😊

He also spoke about Tiaki Chan, who he said would become a fans favourite 😊 Can’t remember exactly what he said about Adam Keighan & Matt Parcell but they were praised by Kris 😊

We signed Burgess as a world beater and hey presto injury prone. I think with Thompson it will be the opposite someone who's toughed it with injury becoming a world beater. He could be immense injury free.

Looking like a big 2024.....as someone predicted :)

Not sure but Smithies has expressed an interest in going to Aus previously?
Not getting the stick for that now that I got at the time 🤣

Great player with a great attitude, obviously the worry being he's played 42 games in 4 years and giving someone with his injury record a 4 year deal is a big risk ,also players returning from Australia have usually had the stuffing knocked out of em.I guess we'll see.

😂😂 Oops! I’d just been reading about HKR players😳😳.

Of course I meant Kruise Leeming, who, for some reason, his name just doesn’t come to mind easily 😳😳

Injured players shouldn't get paid?
