Wigan Warriors Community Foundation are excited to announce details of a World Club Challenge Camp that will take place in February 2024.

Following the success of our most recent Winter Warrior Camp, which saw more than 200 participants attend each day, the World Club Challenge Camp will take place from Monday 19 February to Thursday 22 February at Robin Park Arena from 9:00am-3:30pm daily – the perfect way to build up to our World Club Challenge clash against Penrith Panthers at the DW Stadium.

Our camps are more popular than ever before with more newcomers and regular attendees enjoying the activities across our facilities at Robin Park Arena. The camps offer participants the opportunity to develop their core skills and understanding of the game, with each day including fun and engaging sessions that will cater for all ability levels and experiences. The camp will also include the usual daily themes, as well as a few added surprises.

U12s-U16s that book a place on the World Club Challenge Camp will take part in development based activities, which will be led by our boy’s and girl’s development coaches.

Wigan Warriors Community Foundation Schools Partnership Manager, Scott Rafferty, said: “After the success of our last two camps, we’re really excited to deliver the World Club Challenge Camp in the February half term.”

Scott Rafferty added: “It was so good to see participants from U7s all the way up to U16s coming down and getting stuck in to the different activities we had on offer, with more than 200 players taking part each day. We’re looking forward to seeing plenty of familiar faces in February, but also the faces of those who will be attending for the first time.

“We’re in a really fortunate position to have the World Club Challenge played at the DW Stadium, so this week will be a great way of building the momentum and excitement ahead of the game!”

The camp is open to children aged 6-16 and costs £49 for all four days, or individual sessions can be booked for £15 per day. Places on the World Club Challenge Camp can be booked HERE.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
