It’s all pretty clear to me.

Sky sports
- showing all live games up to round 15
- from then they will show two games a week
- will then launch streaming app whereby the remaining 4 games a week will be shown

Super league +
- showing all super league games up to round 15
- from round 15 it will still show all games but there will be a lag showing the two live games

That’s the club and fans issue.

Cannot hold the game back.

Damned if they do and damned if they don’t. This is a very positive shift.

IMG agree Super League TV deal with new channel

IMG and RL Commercial have agreed a deal to broadcast Super League games in France with L’Equipe according to reports in France.

In France, L’Équipe Live has agreed to broadcast the entire season of the Catalan Dragons for free after taking over the signal of Sky Sports. Negotiations are also underway with TV3, which is keen to broadcast the matches for the entire season, much to the delight of Catalans Dragons fans who hope to watch the games on this channel in Catalonia.

The commercial director, Christophe Levy, believes that this increased visibility is exceptional, as it has never happened since the Catalans Dragons started participating in the competition.

How can I watch Super League?

For fans in Britain the situation is very different. Super League is set for a special 2024 season in terms of media coverage. For the first time since the creation of the Super League in 1996, all 162 regular season matches will be broadcast live. In the UK, SuperLeague+ will launch to broadcast the four fixtures that Sky Sports will not broadcast.

The BBC has also struck a deal to broadcast live Super League matches on BBC2 on Saturday nights from next month. This marks the first live broadcast of Super League matches on the BBC and will provide considerable exposure to the clubs and the competition.

Catalans Dragons set for big year

The 2024 Super League season kicks off on Thursday, February 15, and Catalans Dragons will take on Warrington Wolves on Saturday, February 17 in Perpignan. The clash will be broadcast on L’Équipe Live and possibly on TV3 and Sky Sports.

This will be the start of a new era for Catalans who have lost the likes of Mitchell Pearce and Sam Tomkins but have signed Jordan Abdull and Theo Fages.

that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
