2024 Women’s Squad Numbers

Post by josie andrews »

Wigan Warriors Women are pleased to confirm the first team squad numbers for the 2024 season.

Under the guidance of new Head Coach Denis Betts, the Warriors have confirmed their squad numbers for the 2024 Betfred Women’s Super League season, with Eva Hunter (11), Mary Coleman (12) and Victoria Molyneux (13) all retaining their respective numbers from last season.

The new signings for the Women’s team have all been given their squad numbers with Ellise Derbyshire taking the number 5 shirt, Emma Knowles taking number 7 and Alice Fisher claiming the number 8. Brogan Evans (16) has been given her squad number alongside promoted Academy duo Mia-Jayne Atherton (29) and Isabel Rowe (32).

Since 2008, the No.18 shirt has been awarded to the Wigan Warriors fans as a way to recognise their valued and loyal support. For the 2024 season, this will also be reflected in the Warriors Women’s squad numbers.

The Women’s kit for 2024 features new Principal Partner CSC2 Cyber Consulting on the front of the shirt with Smalley Decorators on the chest alongside the famous Kappa Omni logo and Wigan Warriors Club badge. Fitness First appear on both collars with Bluesky Plumbing on the right sleeve and CRS and Greenmount Projects on the left sleeve. The rear of the shirt features the logos of long-term kit partners Node4, Davanti Tyres and Steve Woods Ltd.

The shorts feature Loch Lomond Whiskies (adults only), LCS Pipework Ltd and FBW Engineering Ltd, whilst the socks will carry the logo of Pall Mall Carpets.

The Women’s season will commence in March where the Warriors will enter the Challenge Cup Group stages, before the Super League competition gets underway at the end of April.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Why when the club do these kind of announcements do they not update the website with the squad page at the same time, it's not that hard to do.
