Good enough, and there is no need to be any better than that until the second half of the season. Job done.

Did Thompson do much? I thought he was a bit anonymous tonight with Ellis,Hill,Dupree,Mago standing out
Thompson did 26 tackles and 117m which made him the top meter maker.

Ellis - 23 tackles and 94m

Dupree - 16 tackles and 90m
Bomhead - "Lockers to prop."

Fair enough as I said he seem pretty anonymous on the night.

I don't think Duprees stats show his impact though he caused Huddersfield a fair few problems.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Josie must have been over the moon. Reading the Match report by RLNewshound I see there was a penalty to Wigan for a high tackle on Sean o'Loughlin. :D

Peet: Keep building

Matt Peet reflected on Wigan Warriors’ Betfred Super League victory against Huddersfield Giants at the DW Stadium.
Peet: “There is so much energy around the place at the moment and we have to keep building on that.”
FT | Wigan Warriors 30-16 Huddersfield Giants.
MATT PEET PRAISED HIS SIDE AS WIGAN WARRIORS SCORED FOUR TRIES TO DEFEAT HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS AT THE DW STADIUM.

Reflecting on the win, Peet said: “We were well aware of the challenge and threat that Huddersfield would bring tonight which is always an attritional one. The way we started the game was always going to be important and I thought we did that really well – we got in front and remained in front against a spirited side.”

Providing an update on Liam Byrne, Peet said: “He came in sore. He had a badly bruised hip which was always going to take up until the warm up to see how he would go. It wasn’t a massive shock to us when he pulled out which is why we always had Tiaki on stand by.”

Speaking on Tiaki Chan, who made his Warriors debut in the victory, Peet said: “Tiaki made an impact and was competitive. It was the right thing to do taking him out after the collision, but we checked him out and he was fine – he’s a player that’s going to get more minutes. He brought exactly what we knew we’d be getting when we signed him and already he’s a very popular player at the Club.”

Tom Forber made his first senior appearance since 2022, and on the hooker, Peet said: “He was good. I’d liked to have given him more minutes but it was just the way things panned out. He put Tyler Dupree through for his try, and some of his defensive contact as well was good.”

When asked about the preparation ahead of the clash, Peet said: “I didn’t think it would be the physical demands of the game, it was more the emotional demands of coming off such a high. We had to be intelligent with how we trained and prepared, and we knew this game wouldn’t be as emotional charging as last week. We came back in on Wednesday for reflection and had a training session on Thursday – that’s because I trust the players. When you achieve something special it’s important to celebrate and enjoy it.”

Looking ahead to upcoming fixtures, Peet said: “We’ve got a period of different away tests starting with London Broncos before a short turnaround to Salford. The games come thick and fast, and we are looking forward to it.”

Praising the supporters, Peet said: “Once I knew the numbers I felt a lot better about tonight. I knew the players wanted to get out there again in front of the fans and the fan walk pre-match was outstanding. There is so much energy around the place at the moment and we have to keep building on that.”

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Watching back now, thought Huddds number 12 got away with "accidental head contact" and a bit of a "facial" on Dupree. I think that's what hurt him more than the head shot from Milner in the same tackle?

Pretty solid, thought we made it harder than it looked with the amount of penalties we gave away.
And what a player Ellis is turning out to be, he eats up the running metres.
Credit to Mago as well, for someone who looked like they were on their way out, he’s been a beast going forward and he’s working hard in defence.

I just watched the interview with Tom Forber on Wigan TV. Nice words from the lad, I hope there's a future for him at Wigan; he looks a talent.
