NEWS. St Helens reportedly set to swoop for Super League star

Post by josie andrews »

Catalans Dragons winger Tom Davies may be part of a mass-exodus of players leaving Perpignan for the 2025 season and has been linked with a move to St Helens or Hull KR.

The 27-year-old has been at Catalans since 2020, and has scored 46 tries in 80 Super League games for the Dragons.

The Hull Daily Mail has reported that Hull Kingston Rovers are looking to sign him, adding to their impressive list of players that can play on the wing, including Ryan Hall, Niall Evalds and Peta Hiku.

French publication L’Indépendant is now reporting that Davies has also been approached by St Helens, amidst talk of Tommy Makinson heading to Catalans Dragons.

Ultimately, the Dragons won’t want one of their key players to sign for a direct rival, and both St Helens and Hull KR may well be that by the end of the season.

Catalans might want to fight hard to keep him, but if Tommy Makinson does indeed head to Catalonia, that would certainly soften the blow.

Why would signing a 32 year old winger soften the blow of losing a 27 year old winger?
