Always seemed to me he's never got a lot of love on Wigan forums, maybe down to a feeling he won many England caps that could have been Liam Farrell's? I dunno. Anyway, for me, he's one of the few Englishmen who've got to the NRL and not just done OK, but stamped themselves on the comp, like James Graham or Gareth Ellis. And today, coming back from injury, a terrific captain's knock, sparking an unlikely comeback for Canberra, firstly creating a try out of nothing with a sublime flick-pass to see his 7 under the sticks, and then chipping in with two more tries of his own. A cracking player, whom English rugby league should be proud of.
