Wembley countdown: Ends allocated for Men’s Betfred Challenge Cup Final

Post by josie andrews »

In 10 days’ time, the players and supporters of six teams will be planning their trips to Wembley – and RL Commercial today starts the countdown to the big day on June 8 by confirming which ends have been allocated for the Men’s Betfred Challenge Cup Final.

The winners of the first Semi-Final on Saturday week, between Hull KR and Wigan Warriors at Doncaster’s Eco-Power Stadium, will guarantee a sea of red and white at the West End of Wembley.

That will leave the East End bedecked in claret and gold or primrose and blue, depending on the result of the second Betfred Challenge Cup Semi-Final on Sunday May 19, between Huddersfield Giants and Warrington Wolves at the Totally Wicked Stadium in St Helens.

RL Commercial now has a limited number of tickets on general sale for the Semi-Finals double-header in St Helens on Sunday 19 May.

Action on the day kicks off with the Women’s Semi-Final between Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors (12.30pm), followed by the Men’s Semi-Final which will see Huddersfield Giants taking on Warrington Wolves (3.15pm). Tickets are available to book now from £20 Adults and £10 Under 16s. Click here to purchase!

All remaining tickets for Saturday’s Semi-Finals in Doncaster – another double header, with York Valkyrie taking on St Helens in the first Women’s Semi-Final before the Hull KR v Wigan clash – are on sale from the four competing clubs.

Two of the six available places at Wembley on June 8 will be secured this Sunday (May 12), with the Semi-Finals of the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup both kicking off at 3pm.

York Knights, aiming for their second Final appearance after losing to Featherstone Rovers at Wembley in 2021, will host the inaugural 1895 Cup winners Sheffield Eagles at the LNER Community Stadium.

And a new record crowd for the competition outside the Final is expected for the Bartercard Odsal Stadium, where Bradford Bulls face Wakefield Trinity – with the Bulls confident of beating the 4,460 attendance for the Leigh versus Widnes Semi-Final in 2019.

Tickets for the AB Sundecks 1895 Semi-Finals are available from the four competing clubs.

Each of the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup finalists will receive an allocation of tickets after the Semi-Finals on Sunday, with their ends at Wembley being announced this Sunday night – and tickets expected to go on sale from the clubs early next week.

Wembley allocations for the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Final will be confirmed after their Semi-Finals on Sunday week, given the possibility that either York or Wigan may have two teams at Wembley on Finals Day

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
