Salford Away Travel Information - Sunday 26th May

Post by LancashireRed »

Wigan are again away to Salford Red Devils on Sunday 26th May for the Round 12 game.

For those Wigan fans travelling but not by coach there is free parking and a shuttle bus from The Trafford Centre to the Stadium every 15 mins from 1pm. https://salfordreddevils.net/club-info/travel/

Parking is also available at the stadium (Purchase online using travel link above) or at Salford City Roosters clubhouse (Free) which is a15 mins walk.

There is Red Devil fan village outside the stadium serving food and drink (Wide Range of Beers) plus providing pre match entertainment including music and player interviews, weather dependent there will also be kid's activities/fair pre match. The forecast will hopefully be good.

Any Wigan fans not wanting to stand in the North Stand can buy tickets for West Stand 01 through Wigan or Salford, there is also limited space in 1873 (Best seats in West Stand, Bar/Food, MoM and Player's Lounge). 1873 flanks the whole pitch it's a massive space.

As for the game then Salford were poor away at Leigh (Carrying injuries) and Wigan destroyed KR in the cup. Wigan have 3 forwards banned and we have 4-5 starters missing so will be a very tough ask, though our fans will turn up in numbers as we're celebrating being awarded an Academy License which is massive.

As of Thursday 23rd May, Wigan had sold 1,000 tickets. Will be an interesting game which hopefully we do not throw away like last time. This will be our biggest crowd of the season like the game last year.

Thank you again for all your information it’s very much appreciated.

Let’s hope for another good game between two good teams.

Congratulations to your club also on being awarded an Academy Licence, as I posted in the General forum when it was announced. 😊
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Thanks, the Academy license is massive for us in allowing our younger players to develop. We've no Cust on Sunday, he has been very hit and miss for us at 6.

To all Wigan fans travelling today without a ticket then the Salford Stadium Ticket Office is open from 11.30am, Wigan fans can buy tickets for the Nort Stand (Away Standing) or West 01 (Away Seating). There is still space, Wigan have sold 1,250 tickets which is a very good following. Enjoy the match.

He has a calf injury when I asked him if he was playing.

I think you’re wrong about him being hit & miss though, don’t think he got much of a chance after he got that bad elbow injury, took a good while to heal. Think he is prone to injury. Scored some good tries for us, the best at bell and Rd in the CCSF v Saints 😊

The problem is Josie is that he is not a stand off.
