Post by josie andrews »

HERE’S A COMPLETE FAN GUIDE AHEAD OF SATURDAY’S BETFRED SUPER LEAGUE MAGIC WEEKEND CLASH AGAINST ST HELENS AT LEEDS’ ELLAND ROAD STADIUM.

Fans from across the sport will gather in Leeds this weekend to witness a full round of Betfred Super League matches in the home of Leeds United.

Supporters can find a full guide below containing all the ticket, travel, entertainment and safety information you need ahead of the weekend.

MATCHES

Saturday 17 August

Hull FC v London Broncos (2:30pm)
Wigan Warriors v St Helens (5:00pm)
Warrington Wolves v Leeds Rhinos (7:30pm)

Sunday 18 August

Leigh Leopards v Salford Red Devils (1:30pm)
Catalans Dragons v Hull KR (4pm)
Huddersfield Giants v Castleford Tigers (6:30pm)

TICKETS

The Warriors have been allocated tickets in the Revive North Stand. Please note that tickets purchased in the North East section can not access the North Stand concourse.

Please note that tickets for Saturday have almost sold out. Remaining tickets are available online only and can be purchased HERE.

The Elland Road Stadium Ticket Office will be open between 8am-6pm on Saturday and 10am-7pm on Sunday. Turnstiles will open 60 minutes prior to the first fixture on both days.

Reserved Seating

Please note that tickets situated in the John Charles West Stand will be reserved. Supporters must ensure they sit in their allocated seat(s) at all times as a ticket holder might not have arrived yet.

Unreserved Seating

Please note that tickets situated in the East, South and North Revive Stand will be unreserved. It is important to note that if an unreserved seat is vacated, it may not be possible to return to the same seat at a later time. Supporters are asked not to sit in any seat marked as reserved in these areas.

Concessions Identification

If a concessionary ticket has been purchased, identification may be requested on entry. Holders of such tickets should ensure they have appropriate ID with them.

PASS OUT SYSTEM

A pass out/return system will be operated on both event days allowing spectators to move freely to and from the stadium bowl – there is no limit on the number of times someone is allowed to pass out and re-enter.

Spectators leaving the stadium bowl with the intention of returning may do so but MUST first ensure they have had a hand stamp from a stadium steward upon initial exit – if there is no evidence of a hand stamp re-entry will not be permitted.

Dedicated exit and re-entry gates in each stand will be used to facilitate this operation. It is important that match tickets are not discarded as tickets must be produced alongside a hand stamp for re-entry if using the pass out system.

FAN ZONE

The Fan Zone will be located directly outside the stadium offering food, drinks and activates delivered by official partners.

Host Alex Simmons will be at the heart of the activity with live music and special guest interviews to keep the party going. Leeds based band Lucky Iris are set to perform live on the Fan Zone stage on Saturday night.

Be sure to visit the Fan Zone for a chance to have your photo taken with the Betfred Super League trophy, get your face painted with Club colours, and to stand a chance of winning a selection of exclusive Super League prizes.

Supporters will be able to purchase Magic Weekend merchandise inside the Fan Zone as well as the latest England RL wear from Oxen’s official stall.

I have a 1 day ticket for my very first Magic. I've never been interested in sitting through 3 matches in a day. My experience of never missing an old Premiership Final at Old Trafford, was that turning up for the second division game just made for a long boring day - just a personal pov, I know.

Having paid more than I did for a Wembley ticket, and then read the ludicrous conditions about about stamps on your hand and no food allowed in so you have to pay no doubt exorbitant prices inside, I'm pretty sure this will also be my last Magic.

I don't moan about refs or poor performances, and don't single out individuals for constant criticism, so please allow me this one against the RFL/SL. Sure, they have a right to do what they like, but, then again, so do I.

I had/have had to get permission to take food & drink in through being diabetic also permission to take in a ‘cushion’ to sit on with having spine problems!

I love going to the magic and it’s an event I do not miss but I will never set foot in that shithole of a ground again,if all rugby league was to be played then well the sport and myself would part company I feel but it doesn’t thank god I just hope they’ve learnt their lesson and take it back to Newcastle next year from watching on the tv I’d say numbers are well down on the Newcastle years shudder to think what tomorrow will be like

I took a bottle of Morley tap water and a jackbit of cheese butties through without any problem. It's the quickest I've ever got to and from a match, even compared with CP days when I went from Hindley.

Being a Wigan fan and living in Yorkshire does have at least one advantage, even if it's taken me 58 years to discover it :D

Fozzie, you couldn’t have put it any better. It is the first Magic I have missed, I enjoyed my time in the boozer. I think you will find it is the lowest turnout ever. Wait until you see tomorrow’s crowd.
