Reserves Grand Final details confirmed

Post by josie andrews »

* Wigan Warriors to face St Helens in 2024 Reserves Grand Final.

* Rivals face off for silverware after finishing in the top two of the 2024 Reserves league.

* Tie to take place at St Helens’ Totally Wicked Stadium on Sunday 8 September (2:30pm K.O.)

WIGAN WARRIORS WILL FACE ST HELENS IN THE 2024 RESERVES GRAND FINAL AT THE TOTALLY WICKED STADIUM NEXT SUNDAY AFTERNOON (SEPTEMBER 8, 2:30PM K.O.).

Wigan have been crowned champions in each of the two years since the Reserves competition resumed after Covid in 2022, beating Wakefield Trinity in that year’s Grand Final before grinding down the Saints 24-0 in wet conditions at Robin Park Arena last autumn.

Saints have earned home advantage this year after finishing top of the league ladder with nine wins from their 12 fixtures, one point clear of Wigan who had eight wins and a draw against Huddersfield Giants. The Warriors will be looking to make it three in a row in the Reserves grade in the Grand Final next Sunday.

Supporters wishing to attend the Reserves Grand Final match between Wigan Warriors and St Helens can enter the Totally Wicked Stadium by heading to the South Stand/South East section of the ground and entering through Turnstiles 10-14, which will be open from 1:30pm ahead of the 2:30pm kick-off.

Entry, which can be paid on the day, will cost:

Adults – £5
Concessions – £3
Under 16’s – £2

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Just watched Reserves v Hull on WiganTV, winner to take 2nd place.
Very tough game with Hodgkinson continuing to impress and Wigan win.

I suppose Farrimond and Eckersley will be playing, how about Eseh and Chan?
Are there qualification rules based on games played?

Just given my head a wobble, Eseh and Chan will be playing for their loan clubs
