Thought Chris Kendall had a great game tonight he let the game flow & especially how he handled the incident with Byrne/Sidlow.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

He's made a few odd calls for and against both sides
I thought he had a great game!

No complaints from me either. But as I said elsewhere, apart from the one flare-up, it wasn't a difficult game to referee. Which is how it should be.

I've been trying to find something online, to see who will be playing who. If so-and-so beat so-and-so, who will Wigan (and others) meet? That kind of thing. But haven't found anything. Any ideas?

In the semi we will play the lowest ranking team to get through their playoff game. So we could play either Leigh or Saints……I think 🤔

Agreed,he just let the game flow and when he does that it shows how good he can be.

Making as assumption that Saints beat Leigh, Catalan beat FC and KR beat Leeds. However if Leeds beat KR, then they and Wire could switch between 2nd and 3rd, and Leeds could sneak into 6th depending on other results

Wigan
KR
Wire
Saints
Salford
Catalan / Leeds

If Leigh beat Saints, then its like this, as Saints have superior points difference but could see Saints, Catalan and Leeds all on 30 points

Wigan
KR
Wire
Salford
Leigh
Saints

The only side we cannot play in the Semi is Wire on the basis they will be the highest placed team (assuming they finish 3rd and KR 2nd), this could be flipped depending on results), so will go to KR if they win.

We can play any of the sides in 4th, 5th or 6th

so you can see, there are still quite a few possibilities that we could end up with

At the minute the teams in 2nd to 8th still have something to play for but the key match is Saints v Leigh. If Saints win that brings Catalan and Leeds into the equation, but if Leigh win, Saints have a far superior points difference, so Catalan need a miracle of either a 180+ point deficit turn around

Now I know this will sound like an old man moaning particularly after winning the last two games with a combined score of 102-0 but watching the game last night it was obvious that some players, Field in particular, were being greedy going down in the tackle, when they should have been passing the ball out for more chanche of another try.
For heavens sake do not do that if we are playing Stains in a semi.
I excuse Junior from that criticism after his kick to the corner and then again passing out the ball on his second half rampage up the field.

i think your wrong, when we tried to offload when it wasnt really on we fluffed it, taking the tackle is sometimes the better option, the one in the first half when jai broke his support ran away from him and salford covered it well

i'm just enjoying seeing him stretch his legs. Looks like the confidence is back now and he's happy to go full tilt. He must have made some metres last night as he seemingly broke the Salford line every time he took the ball

It was good to see Field regaining his form and confidence no better sight than seeing him off on a run more of the same let’s hope so anyway
