9. Wigan 29-18 St Helens - 23,390 in 2017
Liam Marshall made just his seventh senior appearance in 2017's Good Friday derby, scoring twice alongside a brace from Joe Burgess in the victory as well. Liam Farrell also crossed the whitewash, with Morgan Escare on kicking duties that day. Kyle Amor was sent off for Saints.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Is the "Modern era" only after we moved to the JJB, my God i feel old if im not even from the "Modern era" at 46!.
I always knew that I liked this place, you don't have to look to far to find a friendly face, I feel alive when I'm walking on this street, I feel the heart of this city pounding underneath my feet, yeah if the world keeps spinning round and round this is were it all goes down, down, down, THAT'S WHY I LOVE THIS TOWN!.

I once read that the Wigan team of the 40s just after the war averaged 25,000 per game , the best supported team pro rata of the town’s population of any sport in the country with only 9 first football clubs bettering that average ?

Different era's and times, there is just so much more access to other sports via TV and online these days and so many other activities to do, whereas back then there was less access to transport or disposable income, so the main activity was what was going on, on your doorstep, we just need to keep trying to build on those that are on the doorstep of the club.
