Wigan Warriors supremo Kris Radlinski believes the World Club Challenge should be prioritised on both sides of the world in the future after confirming the fixture will not take place in 2025.
Wigan beat Penrith Panthers in an epic encounter earlier this year but, despite both clubs retaining their domestic crowns, there will be no repeat of the contest at the start of next season.

Wigan Warriors CEO demands World Club Challenge plan as fresh update provided
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Its true, Wigan were quick to jump on the Vegas trip, seemingly without considering the logistical challenges that would create for the WCC. Are they asking for the RFL to tell us we can't arrange something like that because the WCC should take precedence? We could have done that ourselves.

I get the impression from what Rads is saying, that he already knew Penrith would not come over for the WCC given their involvement in Vegas, so maybe the Vegas trip was an early thought as he expected the Panthers to pull out.

If Melbourne had won the GF, the WCC would have been on, as well as Vegas.
It’s Penrith stopping it

Penrith playing in Vegas has nothing to do with not wanting to play the WCC, They and the NRL hierarchy simply do not want another embarrassing loss at the hands of a club from an inferior league, let's not forget how far more superior the all conquering NRL is to Super League.
