Re: 2025 Predictions
I never ever make predictions as I’m utterly hopeless at predicting anything (my money is still on a warm new year),so that being said I’ll say the same as last year with Wigans squad and its depth I expect they will win more games than they lose and yes I suspect a trip to Manchester in October will be in order (yes I’ve already got the grand final tickets but hey ho)

Re: 2025 Predictions
This is what I said last year.
"I have said it before but I honestly believe this is Wigan's season to lose.
None of the other teams look to have improved as much as us.
In fact, bar Saints, I cannot think of a single team that will challenge this year.
I appreciate some may think this is arrogance, and I may well be proven wrong. However, as things stand that is how I see it".
I would tone that down a bit this year, as I believe there will be improvement in other teams, but overall we will be there or thereabouts as contenders for the trophies.

Re: 2025 Predictions
Injuries will play a massive part as per. Obviously keeping smith, french and field fit is key.Hopefully the likes of hodkinson and farrimond kick on this year when they get chances. This might sound wrong but i thought losing oneill at a critical time was possibly the only key position we could have got away with. Both two backup hookers are total quality and didnt let weaken us much imo
IF YOU STRIKE ME DOWN I WILL BECOME MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU CAN POSSIBLY IMAGINE

Re: 2025 Predictions
I'm looking forward to seeing Willie Isa back in the side. I think my interest in the "solid-but-not-a-star" kind of player dates back to taking my two lads to matches when they played junior rugby, and getting them to watch the likes of Ian Potter and Brian Case, rather than the usual star players, though they did name their white rabbit "Hendy"!
As for team predictions, I think we're capable of winning every trophy again, but "there's many a slip twixt cup and lip" so I'm not counting my chickens. I'd be happy with "just" the GF.
Predictions or hopes for other teams:
• Saints need to improve, and can't see them making a sustained challenge.
• It will be interesting to see if Willie Peters can get Rovers over the line in either cup or league - I wish them well.
• I want Leeds to become more competitive (as long as we beat them), as it makes life more interesting for me.
• Also hope Wakefield do well - the owner seems to be doing a lot of things right.

Re: 2025 Predictions
I expect us to be up there competing for the three trophies again. I'd expect to win the league leaders shield as that's the one that awards consistently being the best. The other two come down to one-off games, so you can have a single off day and that's that.
One things I'd hope is that engagement on the site goes up though. This year the income is down about 500 pounds from the ads, which amounts to an operating loss of about the same. It always happens when we're doing well though, people have less to say. So if things go wrong at least there's a silver lining for the finances of the site!
