For me, Lees is a head scratcher, we are overborne with props (and about time!) with a number of promising lads working through the Academy/Reserves. Is Lees better? if not, can we improve him?
On paper, he is an England International so a decent signing I suppose?

Whether we sign him or not, it's good that the search for continuous improvement, shown during the Uncle Mo and IFL's years is firmly embeded within the clubs DNA.

Lees is a good player but one I feel could be so much more with the right coaching team guiding him

I presume you are talking about this season as Liam has definitely signed for Wire in 2026.

No, Next, If he has signed fair enough, I wasn't aware.Charriots Offiah wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 10:47 pmI presume you are talking about this season as Liam has definitely signed for Wire in 2026.
Re: Matty lees
Lees has signed a new deal at saints so assuming we will still be after someone to replace Byrne.

IF we are gonna sign a quota player ide personally sign a ball playing loose forward.I think it would add so much to our team and ellis can still play prop

I thought Walters was a replacement for Bateman, we need to replace experience with experience
We lost Cooper, we never replaced him due to promising youngsters, fair enough replacing a player at Byrnes level with a promising youngster but not experienced warhorses
