I thought we would really miss Smithies when he went, but Ellis has been outstanding.
He's turned into a great ball player, whereas Smithies was more of a tackling machine.

Good at what he did but as you say Smithees was fairly one dimensional

When we cut loose between the 20-60 min mark it reminded me of when Hanley, Edwards, Offiah were in their prime. Pace, skill and power all across the park, and we would put on plays where we just went straight through the middle of teams at will.
