WIGAN WARRIORS ARE PROUD TO BE CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY AT THIS SUNDAY’S HOME FIXTURE AGAINST HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS.
International Women’s Day takes place annually on 8 March to celebrate women’s achievements, raise gender discrimination awareness, and take action to drive gender equality. Whether it be players from our Women’s teams, members of staff, or our loyal supporters, Wigan Warriors are proud to have a large number of Women representing the Club.
To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Warriors are delighted to be hosting a range of pre-match and half time activities at Robin Park Arena and The Brick Community Stadium as part of our Betfred Super League Round 4 clash against the Giants.
Activities start at Robin Park Arena from 11am as our Women’s players assist with sessions led by the Club’s Community Foundation. Children are welcome to engage in the fun, which include tag, kicking, passing and wheelchair games, as well as our popular inflatable tackle challenge.

Over at The Brick Community Stadium, supporters are encouraged to be in their seats from 12:15pm as Spice Girls tribute band, Spice Forever, perform a number of iconic hits from the best-selling girl group of all time including Spice Up Your Life, Wannabe and 2 Become 1.
We will welcome girls teams from across the north west onto the pitch to take part in our pre-match flag waving and guard of honour experience before players from our Women’s First Team, Academy and P2P programme parade the pitch at half time.
Join us this Sunday as we celebrate women in our sport. Tickets can be purchased in-person from The Brick Community Stadium Ticket Office and online HERE.

Warriors to celebrate International Women’s Day against Huddersfield
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
