The bookies gave them a 65 point start and apart from a couple of reffing decisions and too many errors from us, we could have really put them to the sword. They kept at it though and for me, that's what RL is all about.

I've a bit of a soft spot for Salford, with fond memories of the Willows club. Hope this consortium thing works out for them
I agree, come on Salford.
Not sure it qualifies as a find memory of the Willows Chariots but my strongest memory is of the very strong smell of the embrocation used by the players in the changing rooms underneath the popular stand(stand)ing.
Bit off-topic but biggest embrocation smell I can recall is at Craven Cottage where, standing behind the goal, you could smell the players (so to speak) before they emerged from the Cottage itself. I blame Reggie Bowden
Sorry Josie for going O/T

Another point about the commentary. I was annoyed when whoever it was called Hill 'Walters' in the first half. It's not like Walters doesn't stand out! But I was even more annoyed when he continued to do it in the second half! Didn't anyone have a word? Slipshod and lazy.

I noticed that. But they do look quite similar.

I noticed that as well. OK once but he kept doing it.

So checked the channel guide; women's football. In the end, I fired it up on i-player on my lap-top and connected it to the telly with an HDMI cable. What a faff you have to do watch a game of rugby!
Do you not have the iPlayer app on your tv?
I do. But I find it so slow (and bounces you out of it half the time) that connecting via a cable is actually simpler and more reliable.
Ha, right 😊
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Seems like it they give footage to the Beeb from now on conditions should be attached. Someone in the org wants it on, but I get the feeling that they are undermined by people determined to make it look like a failure. Tie the hands of those RU old boys with a contract.
I'm thought that was the deal, I think 10 games on BBC 1 or 2 and then another 5 on red button or online
