I wonder if the fact that so many "top" refs are from Wigan makes them subconsciously less likely to award us penalties?
Got a few 6-agains though! Not sure what the final count was.
At least 3! I lost count of penalties & 6 agains after a while 😂
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

penalty count finished 9-4 against, but we did get a couple of repeat sets :) :)

i was getting frustrated as it felt the game was being policed differently for both sides. He pulled Wigan for something but completely ignored the same offence for Hull. Wife told me off for swearing at the ref :) :). i do try to give the ref the benefit of the doubt when watching a Wigan game as we are invested in it, but it just bugged me yesterday that it felt so different how he was policing both sides

whilst i agree with a previous comment, and dont want to see the whistle blown at every offence, there does need to be some consistency within the game. Borough was all over the Wigan players at times, but until he swung out when he had the ball, he'd not been penalised. Sides often complain about Wigan slowing the POTB down, but i could have made a brew at times yesterday with Hull being so slow to clear the ruck :) :)

anyway, a good result and game time for Keighran and Thompson, although i thought Keighran looked a little leggy / slow, which is understandable. We've been to Hull / KR for 3 games and come away with 6 points, which is no easy feat for any side

Peet far from happy in his Wigan TV interview. I think he's had enough of it all tbh and clearly thinks our games are being reffed with the intention of making sure scores don't blow out too badly. He spoke about our players not moaning and play acting for penalties like other clubs and suggested there was some of that with Hull FC yesterday.

Catalans and Hull FC are up to 59 and 58 penalties received now. We're on 22 from what I can see (although it would be 28 if the report the other day, saying we'd had 24 was correct).

i know Matty doesnt look overly excited when he's interviewed anyway but yesterday he looked like someone had pinched his ice cream off him :) :). He was very diplomatic about saying he wasnt happy with the way the games are being reffed

I was at the game but so didn't get chance to see his Sky interview but I heard he seemed unhappy but as you say, I think he's tried to stay a bit more diplomatic in that one. In his Wigan TV interview he certainly seems to open up a bit more and while he still bites his lip, he clearly thinks there is an agenda.

Overseas has no delay on when you can stream the games. They're live, and then you have a to wait a few hours before they're up on demand, but not a few days.

I just watched MP's Wigan TV interview, and yeah, he does sound very frustrated. And you can't blame him.
