If we had the appropriate tech this would be fast and standard. However, we can't even reset a clock at the moment, so mutl-camera feeds in sync to multiple monitors at all games is obviously well out of reach for us.
The annoying thing is they used to do this a couple of years ago.
I don't think its so much the technology as how it is used.
Multiple times you will hear the Video Ref ask to view a certain angle, or to run on with the current angle only for another view angle to appear.
My biggest bug bear is when they view the same shots over and over again, and only after a decision has been made do they show a completely different angle which gives you a clear view of what happened.
“Usually the fans that abuse players like Sam have never done anything of any note themselves. They’re nobodies, whose greatest claim to fame is abusing someone who has, and these so-called ‘Eddie the Experts’ pretend to their mates that they have."

Agreed Mike and this is why the captains challenge should be scrapped at least till such times as they can acquire the tech needed or if it is there someone who knows how to implement it properly
I've said here plenty of times when the idea came in that I wasn't convinced the tech in England was good enough to do it properly, and I stand by that view.

That's my one big problem with the current VR system. The refs ask for particular things to be checked i.e. "check the grounding", "check touch" - but the VR ignores that and checks absolutely everything. They should be restricted to only check what the ref asked for.

Or why not train the video ref to be able to operate the system?

I got the feeling that Ben Thaler wanted to see the two camera angles (one showing the grounding, the other the touchline from behind) in sync together before he made a decision and the director, for whatever reason, took his time giving him that. He (Thaler) said a few times that he was waiting for the "TX", or something like that, to confirm what he already seemed to think.

Whatever, I get as fed up as the next person with the seemingly interminable delays, but happy to accept it this time, as without the VR Miski would have been denied one of the most improbable scores I have ever seen.
TX = time stamp.

Trying to stop Wiganers from having a good moan is like trying to stop the tide from coming in!

NOT going to happen.

Behind where we sit, at the GP defeat to Leigh someone was complaining that "French isn't a team player"! Tough crowd indeed...

Great point. Why on earth does the VR move on to checking the grounding if the ref asked ro check for a foot in touch or whatever? Not required.

I have just been watching on Wigantv the Sky presentation of the Hull v Wigan game on Sunday.
What upset Matty Peet?
He was very abrupt and outright rude in and at the end of the post match interview by Rob Studd. He snatched his head phones off and walked off whilst Studds was winding up the interview.
Had he swallowed a wasp??

Have you not been paying attention? Read the "Six Again” thread!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
