if the gossip is to be believed we could have a pack that looks like this in the not too distant...
...Fielden, Newton, Morley, Fletcher, Tickle, O'Loughlin with Seu Seu and Feka off the bench on rotation.
..sounds alright to me

he was alot more intimidating and in your face than the rest were and this is what can faulter an opposing team. he was probably our biggest meter eater last year and wasn't scared of getting involved when things got rough and tough because he wouldn't stand for any crap on the field.Doveoverdave posted:Scully hardly frightened the opposition last year!- psycho - posted:agreed. lets be honest hargreaves, prescott and jerry seu seu are hardly putting the fear of god into oponents are they. and prescotts injured now aswell so the pack keeps becoming less like a tank and is becoming more like a quad.mrs_carney posted:

Some how can't believe the "metre eater" as he only played in 10 min stints and the rest of the time he was on his haunches or on the bench.- psycho - posted:he was alot more intimidating and in your face than the rest were and this is what can faulter an opposing team. he was probably our biggest meter eater last year and wasn't scared of getting involved when things got rough and tough because he wouldn't stand for any crap on the field.Doveoverdave posted:Scully hardly frightened the opposition last year!- psycho - posted: agreed. lets be honest hargreaves, prescott and jerry seu seu are hardly putting the fear of god into oponents are they. and prescotts injured now aswell so the pack keeps becoming less like a tank and is becoming more like a quad.
And as for "standing for crap" I suppose you mean giving way penalties.
Mind you with Scully AND Moran throwing interceptions to the opposition it would make for a more exciting game in some people's eyes.

so who gained more metres? young talented bryn hargreaves? built like a brick (balloon) jerry seu seu? dont think so. maybe he was switched alot so what! people moan about terry being agressive and saying scully is agressive. maybe he is but he is a step down from terry newton. he had a determined side to his game that the fans liked. alot of people have been calling him back this season, saying can we get him from cas. we shouldn't have got rid because he is our 3rd biggest prop and was probably our stand out prop last season.

On a general note I do think the team lack aggression at the moment ... either in defense or hit ups.
I'm not sue whether this can be "coached" or down to individual personalities, in which case a call for the likes of Scully (albeit next season), Newton etc is justified.

i think the players are just lacking in confidence. they have all shown that they can produce the goods. they jsut ened to start doing it more often!
let's have an example here. if a prop like prescott upset fielden what would happen to prescott......he would get hammered. if the same happened to scully, feka or logan what would happen? fielden would be in hospital.

Get real!if the same happened to scully, feka or logan what would happen? fielden would be in hospital.
Fielden would come back faster harder and more ingenious. He is the no.1 prop in the world and you compare him to Scully.
Give me a break!
