if it was a chioce between Godwin and Newton I'd take Godwin.
You have got to be joking.

I can appreciate all your reservations as regards Newton, but he is a class above Godwin. As hooker, playmaker, game breaker, leader and inspirationally.

Godwin is a junior.

Agreed he is the best hooker in the game. When we broke and Terry had the ball things happened!

questionable. if he was the best he would be a starting GB hooker but he isn't, cunningham is.
ive got to agree with daveo, id prefer godwin to newton. he is faster, just as intelligent and has the ability to change a game, you have seen from his performances this season how different we play when he is on the field. newton is a liability and needs to tone down his agression a tad. another thing, godwin can last 80 minutes of a game whereas i believe newton would struggle.

Newton has played far more 80 minute games than Godwin!! In fact, if he did it on Friday it would be the first I remember.

I'm not criticising Godwin for this, mind. It's just that DOD is right. Terry is in the running for GB selection any time he is fit, whereas Godwin isn't and probably never will be.

Generally agree. Possibly Newton is the better tackler of the 2 but as youve said can be a liability.
Lets stick with our talented youngster if poss, not do a 'Luke Robinson' with him.

Newton has started over fatty. Fatty was brought off against NZ due to his unintelligent 1 dimensional play. Newton came on and transformed the game. Better play questionable temprement thats his downfall.

As for faster I bet he'd give him a go over 100. Mark Smith was quicker than Terry would you rather have him?

If by that equation you prove that Newton is better than Cunningham then surly Higham is the best of the lot.

Especially in the last GB game he was the best player on the park.

don't make me laugh! newton would be left behind and godwin would be laughing like me. have you seen terry now. unfit and out of shape (round is a shape if that counts). looks like the only thing he has been hitting whilst suspended is the pie shop. he is a liability, he is unfit and has moved on. get over it!

when fit and playing Newton is fast.

As for Higham he did nothing for us. He picked up a ball and run 40 metres then passed a ball.....GREAT.
