Just wondering were everyone stands on Millward being kicked out
A disgraceful appointment and knee jerk decision in the first place.

And an even bigger disgrace to welcome "...the best coach in the world" to the club and then to sack him with less than a year under his belt.

Just wondering were everyone stands on Millward being kicked out etc now that Noble seems to have come up trumps. I myself have not commented on ML as of yet but i know a lot of people wanted him to go straight after the millward incident do those people feel the same now (im not trying to be smug or wind people up i just wondering what everyone was thinkin on the issue)
He was forgiven as soon as he sacked Millward! he's He's said everything will be left to Noble now, so as long as he keeps to his word, he can't do much more than that.

Mr Whelan comment he made when Millward arrived "he won't be sacked from the Wigan club for swearing". I ask you what kind of a message does that give to the youngsters.
Exactly, just one of many reasons TAP should never have been at Wigan but hey Praise the Lord, he is gone.

What is there to forgive, Maurice whatever his faults is like a stick of rock, cut him open and he would say Wigan Rugby League all the way through. :)

Another convert to my band wagon. Is there anyone else out there now other than ChrisA who liked having Millward at Wigan?

Nice bit of editing Ian!

No Milly would not have been my choice - but then again I do support whom ever the club does appoint - unlike yourself.

I saw Milly as a good coach with a great record who should have been given more time to succeed at Wigan.

I certainly don't forgive Maurice. It is obvious that there is more to sacking Millward than a poor run of results. We have been pathetic earlier apart from about 5 halves this season, did Ian Millward become a bad coach overnight? (He was a good coach at Saint and Leigh before you comment Ian and Mario ) I don't think so, it has to be something deeper than that.

Millward was told he would have time to build the team, he was not given this time and I doubt he was given freedom. The comments Linsday made about Noble having total freedom should go without saying, however, he needed to state this. This strongly implies that in the past the coach hasn't had freedom, I think this runs up until Ian Millward.

As for the win last night. It was great, the way we played stiffled Huddersfield apart from the last 10 minutes or so. However, there is bound to be some renewed motivation in the side with a new coach and an eagerness to impress. Lets hope we can continue this into future rounds. I also think that this game was in the coming anyway, regardless of coach.

You mean, we were finally so bad last Monday that we could get any worse?!

I just didn't think we'd go the rest of the season without a deserved win.
