WITH ALL THE DIFFERENT ACCENTS AT HOME GAMES WE MUST BE THE MAN U OF RUGBY. OUR CROWDS WOULD LOOK SHAMEFULL IF WE HAD TO RELY ON LOCAL SUPPORT. I KNOW THIS SOUNDS HARSH BUT ARE THE LOCALS IN WIGAN PROTESTING WITH THEIR FEET.

That has to be the biggest insult I have ever heard!! Never ever ever compare Wigan to "that" team!

P.S. I live in Wigan and go to as many games as possible so there! :eusa15:
The good looking one!

I have been travelling to watch Wigan all my life from the age of 6, from Chorley with my Dad, and now at the age of 54 from Blackburn. When I get to the ground, when it was at Central Park (happy days), and now at the JJB I feel at home and amongst friends. :D [/list]

Is that the same Sunderland who have won the league 6 times and the FA Cup twice, to your team's... erm, none in both instances.

If you're going to compare us to a team in a completely different sport to our own, at least try and pick one that's got a worse record than your own team.

Saying that, if Latics ever did get to an FA Cup final I reckon the atmosphere around the town would be great. I remember what it was like in Sunderland in '92 when they last got to the Final, and much as I hate the place, there was a bit of a special atmosphere around for that.
