If you look at the stats, our average points against under IM was 18.9 this season (not inc friendlies).
Under Nobby, our current average is 18, so not a major difference.
Team spirit seems to have improved no end and with a decent SH we should be on the up very soon.
Not sure if Leeds wil be the catalyst, but am sure that the next win (soon) will be the start of a mjor ressurgence.
another way to look at performances for most recent games:
Saints under BN lost by 14
Saints under IM lost by 38
Salford BN lost by 12
Salford IM lost by 18
Wakefield BN lost (well robbed) by 2
Wakefield IM lost by 26
Cas BN lost by 6
Cas IM lost by 20

Lowe and Monie both approached the game the same way that Noble is doing. Saints success this year is based on defence. The best league in the world, the NRL, is based on defence. Says it all really.

ive always been a firm believer in the statement 'the best attack is a good defence'. if you keep a team from scoring, or scoring little then you score enough you can easily win a game by a comfortable margain. bradford probably had one of the best attacking games in superleague as well as defensive. with great tackling and a fantastic line they were hard to break. they can also look teams very average when they attack because they have intelligence in deacon/harris/newton/henderson and they have powerful players in vaianakolo/lynch/meyers/pryce/langlley/vangana
"what ever happens... we stick together... we stay together... we survive."

nobby has got it right and our attack will get better now we have someone who can kick . we where unlucky not to put a few more points on the board against the saints and not many have done that
I agree three tries were put on Saints and we bombed two We have got a side that can compete with the top six lets hope we have got a side that con beat some of them. 20 points to stay up 16 more needed 13 games to go 10 home matches. THE ODDS FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SEASON ARE IN OUR FAVOUR

It's exactly right if we complete sets and allow Dobson to kick territory, playing sports as all should be (kept simple) we can improve. But the over complicating attacking offload behind players that Millward tried to instill did not work.

It's trying to merge a new team bar Dallas, Tickle and Lockers together and playing a game plan and attacking/defensive line/structure they all understand.

I believe this cohesive understanding will reap divendends in the future, i just hope the coaching structures are in place before it's too late :conf:

Spot on comment and the only way to build apon that is consistency in selection and interchanging various players(backs and forwards!) where appropriate to get the best from the 17 match day squad.

Again as in defence the attack is the same, we need players playing alongside each other regularly then if a player offloads or breaks the line, someone is on the shoulder of the ball carrier reading the situation aka Edwards or Rads.

Richards has scored some good tries from high kicks and you can hardly critisize him. Mcavoy here for a month, is that time to understand team structure completely?
