Where we are at the moment, we will be NL! so kev will be fine, won't he?
Oh yeah! That's a really logical argument. It's ok... we can get relegated. It's fine. Cos then at least we're allowed to play KB! And he'll be alright there! :sly:

And Jimmy, Jerry got the big affectionate send off because even though he played for us injured most of the time, he gave his heart for the club and played with some pride. In all the games I've been to in the last 2 seasons, I've not seen that from KB. Jerry's career is over. KB still has this chance at Hudds. :conf:

i agree with you there he was a crackin player under gregory but hes been terrible since
Kev needs the right support to bring out his best, if he gets a frosty reception from people then his confidence will take a knock, and his standard of playing will go down
Saints are just wiganers who haven't fully evolved

RIP Mike Gregory, one of lifes real legends.

I find some of this anti Brown stuff puzzling. He has not fulfilled his potential but neither has he taken about £400,00 in wages whilst doing it, yet Jerry gets the big affectionate send off. :conf:
There you go again quoting how much someone is on etc. How do you know? At least you could see Jerry try,Brown didn't look interesting (apart from Fri night when he probably knew he was on his way)

I don't doubt that you don't want us to get relegated. Your KB argument just seemed a bit contrived.

I still support Wigan too after all the stick I get from other supporters who chance to disagree with me cos I don't think KB is good enough.

It's difficult to quantify a supposedly "creative" position like stand-off, but KB has scored twice as many tries as Orr, from roughly the same number of appearances.

How many times has he played stand off in his appearances? I don't think you can say Brown is a better attacking stand off given he has plauyed much of his career at Wigan in the centres.

It also ignores the missed tackle stats and unforced errors stats which are probably much higher for Brown.

This doesn't hide the fact that he was one of the worst props in the history of the club and a potential winner of the worst ever overseas player in a forward position.

I remember several people saying that about Moran and now he's gone Brown is the next scape goat. So who's next when he goes? Brown was a rushed player into an injury crisis when we played Saints and played WELL and then Millward comes in and puts all the pressure on him saying he will challenge Mcguire for the GB spot and the lad barely played for Wigan let alone GB and playing for Wigan is enough pressure for me.

Millward knew nothing about helping youngsters through the game. When he came to Saints he already had a good system in place left from unfairly dismissed Hanley and then he thought coaching Wigan would be a natural progression, but he didn't have the players laid on a platter like when he went to Saints.

If it's just a loan period and not permanent it will good for the player and if he plays regular at stand off alongside Robbie Paul and doesnt go into the Centres or Full back (which is not his position!), he may have a good chance to improve.

I agree though he needs to bulk up, but also needs valuable SL experience on a regular basis and a loan spell is a good idea for the development of Brown in general.

I think that's being unfair on Millward - he brought quite a few good players through while at Saints - Roby, Graham & Moore, for example.
