I agree that Fielden's performance hasn't been up to scratch lately. If you think, he's had alot to deal with, his mother dying and all. He'll be back up to scratch soon... I hope.

i think the problem still with fielden is that maybe the pack isn't big enough, at bradford he was pushing players off, he was walking along with 3 on his back and he just wouldnt go down. he was great in try nations a few years back.

you can see he doesnt have that confidence in his game anymore, he doesn't hit the tackler full steam ahead. it's like a half hearted attempt to make the yards with fielden now. his ebst game was salford where he made 21 carries and 200 metres or something.

he is a good forward but maybe he needs a big pack like at the bulls. dont forget they had people like vagana, lynch etc comnig off the bench. the starters were fielden and peacock. who does he look forward to at wigan, hansen and prescott. not even in the same class yet im affraid to say, as good as these prospects are. maybe he needs mroe dummy runners to be effective to. last season we were using feka as the dummy runner and logan. who knows. maybe he just needs to lamp someone to get the old boost in his game
Spot on re Fielden requiring a large pack. Were not big enough at the moment

i think fielden feels a little lost without peacock they come as a pair, and plays better with him at the side of him.we would be a much better team with another prop who could put in long stints like fielden, and then bring on feka to shake the opposition up a bit.

I think confidence is a major factor here, Fielden used to bully the opposition and hated taking a tackle (used to annoy me actually when he was a Bull)but now he just seems to take the tackle and play the ball. He has had a very difficult time recently, the sad death of his mother devastated him I feel and maybe he shouldn't have gone to the tri nations. The Willie Mason incident knocked him for 6 and I even feel the loss to Radford in the boxing match didn't help. I totally agree that we need another experienced prop at the club, someone like Craig Smith would be a god send at the moment but I just don't know where we could find one and then could we afford one under the salary cap. We got to offload Millard asap to release some funds and give young McIlorum a chance or are we just going to sicken him off and lose yet another young star to Widnes or Salford and live to regret it? We also got to offload Withers and go with Ashton until the end of the season, OK the lad is leaving but he still seems to be giving 100%, then we got to be on the look out for a new full back for next year because Withers aint good enough and is too old. Lets stop all this negative talk about Fielden, I hope to god he doesn't read these remarks, he needs building up not knocking down and I feel he played quite well against Saints.

i and some of the other supporters who travelled don from whitehaven on friday were totally bemused and disgusted by stuart fielden both during and after the game, this guy has taken a considerable amount of the salary cap up and apart from the bradford game has done absolutely nothing, we now understand why feka is only on the field for short spells during the game, because he is doing all the running of both props. and after the game while all the team were applauding the east stand and then the rest of the ground , where was fielden? with that other headcase fozzard and co till he decided to come to the east stand to clap, by which time the rest of the team was leaving the pitch. i think its about time he stood up to be counted or get shipped out of the club.
Paul, you need to take some chill pills, mate. You look like Busta Bloodvessel mid-set when you are getting wound up. I am concerned for your health!

Fielden didn't look remotely interested on good friday! i was disgusted with him!

he needs a big game up against Peakcock on tuesday or he really will start to feel the wigan fans on his back!

on alot of money and not earning it in my view!

i watched the game again yesterday and i still don't see why fielden is being singled out. btw both of the stains first two tries should have been disallowed, forward pass and a head shot on fletcher also pryce should have been in the sin bin.
