The touch judge can only give a forward pass, if the ref asks him.

Rubbish, I sat in the stand, watching the game and was very proud of Rob.

If you think you could do any better, why don't you do a ref course and take it up. No, didn't think so.
Rob stop posting as Linzi

Upon a try being scored the touch judge can stand his ground and inform the referee of a forward pass and thus the referee will disallow the try. Butterbean waving the red flag did this although many argued it was simply a ploy so he did not have to run to the sticks.

I wanted to be a RFL official. However, I failed the intelligence test. I scored 85% and you have to score 50% or less to be a touch judge and 25% or less to be a referee. Anybody getting 0 becomes a video referee. :conf:

All the aforementioned posts should be taken with the pinch of salt they deserve. I will post an apology to the touch judge waving the red flag in the WEP and acknowledge that he was indeed faster and slimmer than Mike Binder.

Haha, nice report CP, not quite sure on your accuracy, even I got 46-4 at fulltime in my little black book (12-4 at HT too!), but amusing nevertheless.

You may mock my fellow merry flag waver, however, he kept up, he's deceptively fit and had a good game.

I think the forward pass you are referring too was on the opposite side of the field, thrown away from me, which Mr. Johnson spotted. The ball went forward but where his hands facing forwards? You lot had a better view in the grandstand than I did.

Where were you stood then, I heard someone say my name in the second half from the standing sheds but decided it was some tool and ignored it :D

By the way, I think you must have cheated on your intelligence test if you managed 85%, or did the decimal point get smudged? I've seen Teachers and Waterloo Road, I know what you teachers are like!

I believe Rob needs to think of his positioning in future matches. He was too eager to get ahead of the ball carriers
You're right there.

:D I came around from the comfort of the stand and the pleasant company of Mr Binder esq just to abuse you. The least you can do is abuse me back during the match not afterwards .

Well done (seriously) It is not easy as someone who has run around refereeing school games which are at a snails pace in comparison. You did miss a forward pass in the first half. An old bloke on the front row was giving you heaps :) He went mad at you when somebody was down injured too. :D

However, RL would not be RL if we did have a go at the officials. Even Robjoenz. Not sure you should be allowed to officiate Wigan matches though. Those Wakey players were not impressed when I told them you were a lifelong Wigan supporter. They said, "we thought he was just a blind basket ... grrr" ;)
