Not so. It looked like that in real time, which is all the ref has to judge from, but the TV replays from a better angle than Benthem had make it clear it was Senior's arm that twisted round and his hand that flicked the ball back in an attempt to offload. Wrong call from the ref, but totally understandable.

A statistical survey revealed players dropped more ball when the official was bald headed.
