Best way to deal with this is for someone to request that KR be made a listed property, which then stops people knocking it down! Someone did this in Lancaster with the old bus depot, an absolute monstrosity of a place that should have been demolished about 20 years ago when Stagecoach took over the world but instead some woman decided it was an important part of the city's heritage and persuaded the courts to slap a listed building order on the place. They have finally, after many many years of the place lying derelict, found a solution but keeping the exterior walls, which still look awful, but being able to demolish the interior which they have finally been able to redevelop. But there are definitely ways of saving these awful places... and if Sts can't sell KR, what would that do to their redevelopment plans?

Why would anyone be against Saints development plans? Everyone's in agreement the ground's a dump (the referees' changing room has an eye chart on the back of the door :O). So the sooner they get a nice ground to visit the better.

Come on, lets keep the shed as it is, wouldnt be the same going to a decent ground to watch Saints. There's something about watching a game from a stand that slopes left to right that makes it far more interesting, and whilst there's no real comparison to the 'river caves' at CP the loo's at Saints are as close as you can get. Not be so long until Time Team show up and start digging on the goal line.

Knowsley Road is carefully designed to be totally compatible with Saints fans.

Nothing there that can be trashed or nicked.
Legendary!

And it looks like a council tip to make them feel at home!

Err, because we don't like the club or it's fans - ergo we're unlikely to do something that will benefit them; especially after the celebrated last year when it looked like we might be relegated.

I know you are a ref Rob, however I would have thought that even you could have seen that!

I know most people hate Saints on here (they don't bother me personally) but everyone is agreed that the place is a dump (though the pitch is very nice). Why would people want to continue to visit a dump when they could visit a nice stadium?

Some people argue that Saints have sacrificed getting a new stadium for a SL winning side. Therefore, if they change their efforts to getting a new stadium will they be able to afford a winning side? Or has no-one else thought along those lines?

Rob
Building a new stadium will in fact bring in more revenue for them corporate boxes bring in more money than the terraces .Better facalities bring in more people who in turn spend money just look at the South Stand bar before and after games.
