Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Rob secondary to that, how have suspensions changed in length across the season? I am sure early, they were greater in duration. Now, 1 match is an extreme.
Tertiary to that, how has the severity of offence varied?

If I recall correctly, Gareth Hock has been up twice for dangerous throws. Yet he wasn't punished was he.

Not cleared. Guilty.

BUT

Not punished
The Rugby League Saint Helens Let Off Committee have worked hard to bend the rules this time. They were hell bent on making sure Wilkin & Cunningham were available for the Bulls match. Do not be fooled players from any other club in super league who committed these dirty fouls would of got at least a two match ban      :exc: :eh:

The two HKR guys have been done one match in addition to a £300 fine at the same hearing. But their tackles were careless or reckless not misconduct as Cunningham. Makes you want to laugh if it was'nt so blatently biased.

And in yet another fantastic move by some pillock on RLFannies, I have been called an embarrassment for saying Stains have the RL in their back pockets....

And the pillock in question is A WIGAN FAN. :conf:

For those who think Saints get an easy ride with the RFL... come on and back it up.

How many times have Wigan players been up against the disciplinary this season and got away with it. Then how many times have Saint Helens been up against the disciplinary this season and got away with it?

I think it's just a knee jerk reaction to always say that Wigan are hard done by and all other clubs (especailly the one disliked the most) are shown more leniency. I have yet to hear any proof.

There's a difference being up before the committee and being cleared (no case to answer), and being up before the committee, being found guilty and then just being fined a measly £300 for a dirty cynical stiff arm to the face of a player that has already been tackled.

This to me was a worse offence than Wilkins the week before yet he got a match ban.

Rob, the RFL are hopeless full stop as far as dealing with foul play. The let players, match officials and spectators down. As far as bias goes, a common complaint is that non SL players get treated more harshly than SL players. Whether that is true or not, I will leave for an anorak to discover. I do know if you are representing GB and/or due to appear in a final has traditionally had a bearing on suspensions.
