the salary cap is bringing the competition closer together, and albeit very slowly but player quality is spreading out and the competition is becoming more competivte, we do need a flat rate slary cap of 1.8 million, no 50% rule, the problem is as we have found in realising briscoe is the 20.20.20 rule, thats the rule we have problems with!
With the salary cap we are playing directly into the Ra-ra's hands. They have tried to destroy our game for over 100 years and now they have the finances and the opportunity to do so! We will end up a semi-amateur game lorded over by the same myopic chairmen who call for the salary cap. A case of big fish in a small pool syndrome. No wonder Maurice got sick of those professional Yorkshire men when he was in charge of R.L. and came back to where he is appreciated.
On a different tack why is it that we are struggling to keep under the cap whilst over clubs are spending so freely. I would like to see their books as I am sure that their players are not playing for buttons! Once again a bad rule has been brought in to stop Wigan, and as long as it works the powers that be will not change it!

well put wigan paid to get briscoe and jhonson up to scratch and now bradford and hull will benifit doesnt seem fair does it well id rather that than sale sharks getting there hands on them but if we dont compete financialy that is what will happen scrap any restrictions on any teams exept the oversaese rule and lets get on with it and for the teams that cannot compete there is always the first division!
dont let your victories go to your head or your failures go to your heart
