I think it was Spinal Tap that said there is a fine line between stupid and genius. Thnakfully we saw most of the right side of this divide tonight.

Hope to god that fielden does not get selected for the tests he needs the time to reflect on what he has not done this season.

No more excuses he has not done it this season. I think his contract is up at the end of next season,if it is it will be interesting to see if we stick hold of him.

Thought he was dire last night.

I agree entirely, he is the most over rated player in Super League. He was ok at Bradford when he had big units like Anderson,Vagana etc doing the donkey work. He was a world record signing and will be on a massive contract and should be an inspiration to Prescott,O Carrol. However he has been poor to say the least and is in not worth his place in the Wigan side never mind the tests.Although i have rated Nobby as a good coach it has to be said that his signings have been failures,eg Fielden,Hill,Millard and Withers who was a top class player but well past his best when and injury prone when we signed him.On the other hand are these Nobbys signings or has he, like many coaches before him been told who he can sign?.I was criticised on this forum by many people earlier in the season when i made my opinion known about Fielden,but i have noticed that thes people are criticising him now.You all know who you are,(not you ste lord)

I thought the funniest moment was after his try after 15 minutes in his 3rd spell he immediately jogged to the sideline to come off and Vievers sent him back on and a couple of minutes later after another push up he looked at the bench confused and they decided to pull him off then.

its getting the norm now absolute sh*te in the first half and for some reason wanna play in the second!why with only two games left are we still so slow to get going? reguarding the ref thought some of his decisions were awful seemed strange how he notices a couple of our so called forward passes but last week in the cup final the most obvious forward pass in cup final history seemed to go un-noticed!

Again the proverbial game of two halves, in the first half after Trents try we struggled to string passes together and with no Barrett kicks simply never looked like scoring. Perhaps we have adapted our game plan however as instead of a good half and a bad half we have progressed(?) to a good 20 minutes instead.
On a more positive note if we get a gate of 21538 or more against Stains we will break the 16000 average attendance barrier for the season despite underperforming so badly all season. A frightening story I saw in the DT which I had not picked up on was the fact that our last away win was back in the dim and distant past in April at Salford!!

it say's alot about our fans to how loyal we are! you have to think though how long will they put with such an underperforming team! on a different point if the rumours are true.. after watching him last night why the hell are we even interested in bringing coley to the club? apart fromone off load in a tackle he is dire!!!! surely there is another alternative out there than him?

He came on at the end of the game for a short stint too. With about 5 minutes to go.
