I think you are right. The McLinden one was, I am sure, that as a result of the Lenegan association(!) with the two clubs someone put 2 and 2 together and came up with 5.

Perhaps we need a "Real Rumour Mill" reserved for rumours from "sources" and the real press (not the WEP!) and a "Wishing Well" where all the wishful thinking "rumours" and fact-less WEP speculation can go!
