I am in too. It sounds like an amazing idea and a good way to raised some money.

Thanks wiggydoran & gw I have asked what date most people would prefer 23rd May or 24th May but had no reply & id like to set a date that most people can make. Also want to set if very soon, that way people can organise travel and accomodation.

if you want to set a date most people can make then the 24th would be the better date. It would be good to leave Wigan Friday Evening travel up to scotland and stop there that night then do Ben nevis the Saturday. Then on Sunday people who want to Wakefield can leave from scotland and travel down sunday morning. Them people who don't want to go to Wakefild can go home.
it is only an idea but you could get in touch with Wakefield and ask if we could collect at the game or something on Match day? anything to raised awareness and money

Yes that sounds the Best idea. As for collecting at Wakefield would need to be organised at your end & would have to ask for volunteers from the site who are going if they would spare the time before the match to do a Bucket collection.

After chatting to a people on here & via e-mail the best date looks like the 24th of MAY for the walk some people are traveling up on the friday as its a long journey.
So now the date is set best book up travel and accomodation as soon as you can.
Will post a start time for the walk as we get near the date.
Hope this is ok with all who are taking part

A to B, there is some good information there and some good photographs, not too sure about the "white trainers" bit, it only takes one twist of the ankle and you will be going down, a ruined day. There are some good cheap walking boots about, it's the ankle support that is needed, surprised to see that on an official site.
